How to... Use LeanLibrary Workspace

Your CHSU access to LeanLibrary Workspace includes:

• Online reference manager
• Unlimited references
• Instantly save and annotate articles online
• Find and cite references in Microsoft Word and Google Docs
• Access your references and PDFs from any device
• Easy collaboration with co-authors
• Unlimited projects
• Article suggestions
• Unlimited storage
• Smart citation suggestions in Microsoft Word and Google Docs
• Access to article recommendations in Faculty Opinions

Step 1: Navigate to the following link - LeanLibrary Workspace (formerly Sciwheel)

Step 2: Select "No, I'm a new user" and click on Create an Account.

 

Step 3: Please use your @CHSU email when registering. You will notice the FREE access will change to California Health Sciences University upon entering your @CHSU email in the applicable box. 

 

 

 

Step 1: Click on the link below and select your browser. You will be redirected to the associated download page. Please install the extension.

Step 2:

• Once installed, you will be redirected to the image below. If you are not, please click on your browser extensions and select the Lean Library extension.
• For the Institution, type "Other" and select "Other - Institution not listed" from the menu. *Please note this does not affect our access and our institution will be added to the list in the coming months.

Step 3:

• Select “I already have an account” to log in to your existing account (Previously Sciwheel) or select "Sign-up" to create a new account.
• Enter your credentials to sign in
• Select "Reference Manager Only" and confirm the selection.

The extension is now set up and will work similarly to how the Sciwheel extension did:

Optional:

You can pin the extension for quick access by opening your browser extensions and clicking on the pin icon:

 

If you would like to double-check that you are in Reference Manager Only mode (which is the recommended setting, as we do not currently subscribe to the other LeanLibrary products), please:

• Select the Lean Library browser extension icon
• Select the Settings wheel
• Ensure the Reference Manager Only radio button is selected under Extension Mode
